As our program continues to evolve we have to continue to update and upgrade some of our classes. Sometimes we take a class off the schedule for a while and figure out how to make it better. A great example of this is what we did with our Combat Cardio class. When we re-launched Combat in its current format it quickly became one of the classes with the longest wait list to get into.
Our newest class re-launch is for our Fat Burning Intervals or FBI class. This was one of our two original classes that we launched the program with back in 2009. The FBI system is great because it provides a longer stretch of "work time" with a 3 to 1 work to rest ratio of 3 minutes of work and 1 minute of rest. We have incorporated these FBI intervals into other classes like Burn Fusion, Advanced Burn Fusion, and High Heat. Doing these "fusion" type of classes is great because the switch in pace of the intervals really keeps your body guessing and out of its comfort zone and that produces results.
With our FBI class makeover we decided to keep our 3 to 1 work to rest ratio but use 3 different timing intervals instead of just the standard 3 mins work and 1 min rest. So we will be doing sets with shorter intervals like 90 seconds work and 30 seconds rest and some longer intervals of 6 minutes work and 2 minutes rest. This new timing strategy will not allow your body to settle into a comfort zone during class. This will be a nice challenge for all levels because you still get to set your own exercise pace. We did a test run with this new format a couple of weekends ago and we had outstanding feedback from both veterans and new clients.
Our FBI minutes will become even more important as we will be tracking them in our cardio logs when we launch our new Meltdown 2.0 system with our upcoming boot camp. This new FBI class will get you over 50 minutes of FBI's.
The offical re-launch of the FBI class is this coming Wednesday the 4th of July at 6am. This will be available on a weekly basis moving forward in this same time slot. This will be a great opportunity to start off your 4th of July holiday with a BANG!
