Quick Tips for Staying Cool during class

It is REALLY hot outside so we wanted to provide you with some quick tips to keep you comfortable during our classes. We keep our studio temperature set to be between 68-71 degrees at all times. This is a great temperature range to ensure that your muscles will stay warm and limber during your fitness sessions. This will be a very comfortable range for 99% of our clients. This range is a little bit cooler than our old NGPT studio.

We realize that everyone will have their own sensitivity range for heat depending on your own  body weight, body fat level, age, and metabolism. Here are our top tips for staying comfortable in our studio:

-Dress appropriately. You should not wear sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts, sweatpants, etc to our classes or you WILL over heat yourself. Wear light t-shirts and shorts.

-Stay hydrated. We have lots of cold water available at every class.

-In our BLUE studio room the row closest to the windows will be the hottest, especially in the evenings. So you may want to avoid that area.

-Arrive early to class in order to position yourself in line with a ground fan, ceiling fan, or air duct.

-Do morning classes. The building naturally stays much cooler in the AM hours.

-Lose weight and body fat! This is a natural side effect of doing our program, but as you get started with higher weight and body fat levels you are more insulated and your core temp will be higher.

**Please remember that we are going to make you work hard and produce sweat at each workout. We are here to help you accomplish your goals in a safe, fun, and effective manner.**

If you have any concerns about room temperature please do not hesitate to contact Adam directly at: [email protected]. Your suggestions and feedback are very welcome.
