Caught a post on FB by fellow Meltdowner Eugene Hopkins. He went to King's Island this past weekend with family and mentioned about fitting a lot better on the rides. Boy did this strike a note and something I have not shared with anyone until today. I too was at Kings Island back in 2008 and it was an absolutely horrible day that I remember all too well. I waited in line with family to ride a roller coaster for what seemed like an eternity. When it was my turn to finally get on and ride with my girlfriends 7 year old daughter I could not get the bar closed...no matter how hard I tried just could not get it to fit past my BEAR BELLY. I'm not one that is generally shy but talk about a horrific walk of shame when all your ride consisted of was trying to sit in a roller coaster car and I had to get back out and walk to the exit in front of all those people, and have to explain to a 7 year old why I couldn't ride. Rather than enjoying what should have been a day full of fun I was trying to measure up rides and constantly thinking "I wonder if I can fit on that one?" The signs tell ya how tall ya have to be, yet I was the poster boy for "ya can't be this fat to ride this ride". With that said... I raise my 60oz jug of water to you Eugene, the rest of the NGPT Meltdown Nation, the coaches that keep us on track, and to Adam for creating such a great fat loss program that has soooo many achieving such great results. We are with ya brother and once again we too can RIDE.
