Launching the “Running for Ruth” Fundraising Campaign

This mornings 6am spinning class “Race Day” kicked off what will be a month long fundraising campaign to raise money to help alleviate some of the financial burden for a dear friend (and avid spinner) of mine and the NGPT family, who is currently in the fight for her life as she battles cancer. The culminating event will be when I will be “Running for Ruth” the Indianapolis Marathon on Oct. 18th and I will blog on this journey here-starting now! I plan on drawing on Ruth’s strength and endurance that she has displayed so often in the spin cave to finish my race (maybe some of you will need it in the Hoosiers OutRun Cancer 5K next weekend too), and in turn I hope you will help me return the favor…stay tuned for opportunities to get involved later today, including BUT not limited to, 1) learning more about Ruth’s story on my “gofundme” page, 2) two “Riding for Ruth” opportunities with me on Oct. 4th, 3) t-shirt sales, and 4) simply eating at BuffaLouis’s after the Hoosiers OutRun Cancer 5K where 15% of your order will be donated! Thanks in advance to all of those that are helping with this endeavor, you know who you are! We are FIERCELY UNITED TO SUPPORT A BLOOMINGTON WARRIOR!

Lauren Rapacki first met Ruth as a fellow client at Next Generation Personal Training and Fitness, where she is now a SPIN instructor. Her enthusiasm for life and others simply can’t be captured in a short bio like this, but NGPT is lucky to have her and excited to support her efforts and Ruth!
